Cookies or biscuits?!
Definitely cookies! We’re not fans of hard, crunchy biscuits and prefer to make soft, chewy cookies.
Are all your products suitable for vegetarians?
Absolutely! As a vegetarian myself, there’s no way I’d ever use any meat or fish-based ingredients (including gelatine).
Are all your products suitable for vegans?
Mostly, yes. We never use dairy milk, cheese or yoghurt in any of our recipes. Occasionally we might use food colours that are vegetarian but not vegan, but we state this very clearly. We also have the odd amazing recipe that we haven’t successfully veganised yet (we’re working on it) but again, we state where this is the case.
What about eggs?
Almost all of our products are purposefully egg-free. Any eggs we do happen to use (see the question above) come exclusively from our small number of free-range, ex-battery rescued hens, who are free to roam and live out their natural days. The hens were rehomed from the British Hen Welfare Trust (formerly called the Battery Hen Welfare Trust) and are cared for as pets.
Are your products gluten-free?
Our products current use wheat flour and corn flour. If you’d be interested in a gluten-free version of one of our products, please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
How long do your cookies stay fresh?
We don’t use any artificial preservatives, sticking only to fresh, traditional ingredients. This means that you should eat your cookies within 5 days, ideally. They’ll still be edible after then, just not at their best. If you’d prefer to eat your cookies later (really?!) then they’ll keep just fine in the freezer.
What delivery options are there?
Will the cookies be safe during transit?
We make every effort to ensure our cookies can cope with the delivery process by packaging them well. Occasionally one or two cookies might not make it in one piece, but they’ll still taste just as good.
How long will it take to receive my order?
We normally need two working days to despatch your order, particularly if you’ve ordered decorated cookies. This is because we bake everything from scratch and with decorated cookies we have to wait for the icing to dry. We’ll send you an email to let you know when your order has been dispatched. From that point, the delivery time depends on the delivery option you choose.
Do you offer faster local delivery?
Yes, we can deliver your order to you ourselves if you live in the postcode areas of CF39, CF40, CF41, CF42 or CF43. Delivery charges are between £5 and £10, depending on how far you are away from us.
I have a question about returns or refunds.
Please see our Terms & Conditions page for full details of our returns and refunds policy.
Food Hygiene & Safety
Are your products produced in a safe and hygienic way?
Most definitely. Our kitchen has been inspected and approved by the local authority and we hold the Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (answering 100% of the exam questions correctly, in fact!). Food safety and high standards of cleanliness are paramount to our business.
